A trademark certificate is valid for 10 years from the filing date and can be renewed for further 10-year periods. That is why it matters to file correctly the first time, covering the classes of goods and services you work in now and plan to work in.

How long is a Ukrainian trademark certificate valid?
Ten years from the filing date. The owner can renew it for further ten-year periods by filing a request and paying the fee.
Can I register my trademark abroad?
Yes. Under the Madrid system an international application can be based on the Ukrainian one, with the countries you need. For some markets direct national filings work out better.
Is my name protected if a company is already registered under it?
No. A company name in the state registry does not give exclusive trademark rights. Protection for goods and services comes from the trademark certificate.
